This easy whipped honey butter is a light, fluffy, sweet-and-salty spread made with just three ingredients and perfect for everything from biscuits to dinner rolls.
Add the softened butter, creamed honey, and flaky sea salt to the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment, or a large mixing bowl if using a hand mixer or whisk.
Whip on high speed for 30 seconds to 1 minute, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed, until the mixture is light, fluffy, and fully combined.
Transfer the whipped honey butter to a serving bowl and enjoy immediately, or store it in an airtight container until ready to use.
Notes
Butter: Salted, unsalted or plant-based butter sticks can all be used for this recipe.
Creamed Honey: You must use creamed honey to achieve the perfect fluffy and soft consistency. Liquid honey can cause the butter to separate and create a thin, runny mixture.
Flaky Sea Salt: Any kind of flaky sea salt or kosher salt can be used.
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
The easiest way to soften butter quickly is in 10-second bursts in the microwave. Take care that the butter does not melt, or this honey butter will not be fluffy once whipped.
