Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Press the tofu for 15 minutes. To press the tofu place it between two sheets of paper towel and place a heavy pan or book on top.
Cut the tofu into ~1” cubes and place in a small mixing bowl.
In a small bowl combine the cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, ginger powder, and white pepper. Stir to combine.
Sprinkle the spice mixture overtop of the tofu and toss to combine.
Drizzle the extra virgin olive oil over top of the tofu and stir until the tofu is completely coated.
Spread the tofu onto the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping once halfway through. Bake until the tofu is golden brown.
Notes
This tofu is extremely adaptable to sauces. You can use literally anything that you can think of. Some ideas are tossing the baked tofu with buffalo hot sauce, honey garlic sauce, sweet chili sauce, ANYTHING!
This can also be used as a plant based replacement for pretty much any meal.
