To Make Roasted Garlic
Wrap peeled garlic cloves in foil and top with olive oil, salt and pepper. Then bake in a 350°F oven for around 35 minutes until soft. 👉 See my full post on how to roast garlic the easy way
French Onion Dip
Let the caramelized onions cool slightly, then give them a rough chop so they blend evenly throughout the dip. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the chopped caramelized onions, 3-4 mashed roasted garlic cloves, sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, green onions, and salt. Stir until smooth and well combined. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight for even better flavor, before serving.
Notes
Sour Cream: Substitute with greek yogurt for a lighter version or crème fraîche for a super-rich version.
Mayonnaise: Regular mayo, homemade mayo, light mayo, or Kewpie mayonnaise can be used.
