Preheat the oven to 475℉. Lightly grease a 14-inch pizza pan and sprinkle it with cornmeal, if using. Press or stretch the pizza dough into a 14-inch circle, covering the bottom of the pan.
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic, onion powder, and parsley. Brush the mixture evenly over the entire surface of the dough, leaving a small border around the edge of the crust.
Sprinkle the parmesan cheese evenly over the garlic butter base. Top with half of the mozzarella, half of the cheddar cheese, and half of the pickle slices. Add the remaining mozzarella and cheddar cheese, followed by the crispy bacon, remaining pickle slices, green onions, and dill. Bake for 15-16 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted, bubbly, and beginning to brown in spots.
While the pizza is baking, prepare the honey butter, if using. Remove the pizza from the oven and carefully transfer it from the pan to a cutting board. Melt 2 tablespoons of honey butter and drizzle it over the hot pizza. Let the pizza rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Pizza Crust: A homemade pizza crust or a store-bought crust will both work.
Honey Butter: The honey butter drizzle is optional, but highly recommended.
Cheese: Any kind of cheese that melts well can be used. Monterey Jack, provolone, or Havarti are all good options. Don't use pre-shredded, freshly shredded is preferred for the best texture and melt.
Pickles: Any kind of dill pickle or cornichon can be used. Avoid sweet or butter pickles, as they will cause an overly sweet pizza. Dry the pickles before adding them to the pizza to remove moisture and avoid soggy pizza.
Bacon: Precook and crumble the bacon before adding it to the pizza. Never use raw bacon on a pizza.
