Let's make some Steakhouse Cheeseburgers
These steakhouse cheeseburgers come complete with a side of seasoned wedge fries, a zesty dijon mayo and they are topped with a delicious mushroom gravy!
YUM. Ok, let's make these!
Here is a list of the ingredients that you will need:
- Ground Beef
- Cremini Mushrooms, roughly chopped
- Artisan Buns
- Russet Potatoes
- Whole Grain Mustard
- Montreal Spice Blend
- Mayonnaise
- All-Purpose Flour
- Beef Broth
- Spring Mix
- Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
- Olive Oil or Vegetable Oil
- Butter

Preperation
First up are the wedge fries. These take about 25 minutes in the oven so you will want to get these started before you start to make the actual burgers.
Preheat your oven to 450°F.
For the wedge fries, wash and dry the russet potatoes. Cut them into wedges.
In a medium sized bowl toss the wedge fries with the oil and some of the Montreal spice blend.

Spread the fries in a single layer onto a baking sheet and bake for around 25 minutes.
While the wedge fries are baking, combine the ground beef and 1 teaspoon of the Montreal spice blend. Press into patties and pan fry until they are fully cooked and browned on both sides, this should take about 4-5 minutes per side.

When the burgers are done cooking transfer the patties to a baking sheet, sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese. On the same baking sheet place the buns cut side up and set aside.

To make the zesty dijon mayo, combine the whole grain mustard with the mayonnaise, stir to combine, and set aside.
For the mushroom gravy, in the same pan that you fried the burgers in, add the butter and melt. Next, add the chopped mushrooms and over medium heat cook until the mushrooms begin to soften, around 5-6 minutes.
After the mushrooms have softened, keep them over medium heat, and sprinkle the flour over top. Stir to combine. While stirring, add the beef broth to the pan, and keep cooking until the gravy has thickened, about 2 minutes.
When the gravy has thickened, remove it from the heat and add the remaining Montreal spice blend.
After the wedge fries have finished cooking, remove them from the oven and switch the oven onto broil.
Grab the baking sheet with the patties and the buns and place it in the oven under the broiler until the buns are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and melted.
Building the Burger
On the bottom of the buns spread half of the zesty mayo, top with spring mix salad, then add the burger patty and top with a heaping spoonful of the mushroom gravy. Serve with a side of wedge fries and zesty mayo for dipping, enjoy!
