Ok, I can NOT believe that it is the end of November. Like, what?!

This month was nuts. I feel like I go to bed every day with my head spinning and wake up with it spinning even faster.

I have been working on the annual 12 Days of Christmas, which launches on December 1st, and I am SO EXCITED. The recipes this year are insane guys. Make sure you are signed up for our email updates and I will send every new recipe straight to your inbox!

    November

    So, what happened in November...

Well, one of my immediate family members (not in my household) tested positive for COVID-19, which lead to more of my immediate family members being in quarantine for 14 days. Bernie and I did some grocery drops for them and smiled and waved from the drive way.

Sadly, our provinces numbers for the virus have been spiking lately and the numbers reported are breaking records everyday.

Just last week our province declared another state of public health emergency which included a ton of targeted restrictions for the next 3 weeks. Thankfully they didn't "lockdown" the entire province to the severity they did last time. This time they are allowing businesses to stay open, but with major limits on capacity.

Needless to say, Christmas for us is going to look very different this year. Even if they do ease back the restrictions in time for the holidays it will only be announced with a couple of days notice. Really, who knows what is going to happen.

Either way, I am happy to watch Christmas movies on the couch for a week straight or pivot those plans and cook a bunch of big meals.

What this year has taught me

I have learnt A LOT about myself this year. It is true when your forced out of your comfort zone, you are forced to grow.

Even though this pandemic is horrible and I would rather it not be happening. In a lot of ways I am grateful for the lessons that it has taught me.

I have always been a planner, I needed to have a plan for everything. Well I think it is safe to say that no one saw this year coming, but it has really forced me to live more in the moment.

We had a lot of personal plans for this year, plans that we always pushed off until we had the money, or had the time. But after too much wine, and a lot of late night chats, we just decided to let the chips fall where they may. We promised to support one another and move forward with our lives and let me tell you, it feels amazing!

    New on the Blog

Whipped It Up turned two years old on November 9th! It is crazy to me that I have been blogging for over TWO years now!

I love this little corner of the internet I have created, and I love and appreciate all of you who show your love and support for us and our recipes!

The recipes this month were gooooood and they are already getting great feedback.

a perfect stack of the best chocolate chip cookies ever!

These chocolate chip cookies really are the best I have ever tasted. They are perfectly crisp on the outside with a soft and chewy inside. They are perfect.

Butternut Squash and Prosciutto Devilled Eggs

These devilled eggs are not your traditional devilled eggs. They are stuffed with a mixture of butternut squash, mascarpone cheese, and spices, then they are topped with a piece of prosciutto and a crispy fried sage leaf.

    Pressure cooker Bone Broth

This stuff is pure GOLD. It is so healthy and allows you to use every single part of the meat that you buy.

Well, that is all for this month and as I said above make sure to subscribe to our emails to get the 12 Days of Christmas recipes that start on December 1st!
