I'll be honest with you guys, finding a dash of sparkle this past month has been HARD. June has been a bag of mixed emotions, speculating the unknown, and I often spiral into a tizzy at least once a day. I know this pandemic is effecting everyone in one way or another, it sucks, and all I can really hope for is that there is a end in sight soon, or at least some clarity.
The active cases around us have been decreasing, whilst they have started to re-open a lot of places, so this is good news!

What we did in June
We went out for dinner for the FIRST TIME since March 7th! March seventh! It was a different experience, but it was fabulous. Getting out of the house and experiencing some sort of "normal" was amazing.
Also, they started to re-open the campgrounds. Hallelujah! This was the most exciting news EVER! I sat at the computer for hours refreshing the browser and booking sites, I am SO HAPPY that we have at least that to look forward to this summer!
THe Blog
In April, we were accepted into Mediavine and that has seriously changed the game. They are AMAZING. If you are a blogger looking for an Ad agency, I can not recommend Mediavine enough.
Also, this month I posted the full complete guide to starting your very own blog! If you've been thinking about starting a blog, do it NOW! It is by far probably the most rewarding, scary, and wonderful thing I have ever done in my life.
It costs less than the price of takeout to get started, so if you've been thinking about it, now is the time!
The Garden
Ok, first off, if you missed the dash of sparkle for May, go look at the pictures of the garden now!
It has QUADRUPLED in size in the past month.
We have already been eating kale and buttercrunch lettuce from the garden almost every night and it is still exploding.
I hooked up this super fancy (it's not fancy..) watering system that covers the full garden and AUTOMATICALLY waters it twice a day. I talked about it all over on my Instagram, and it is all saved under the highlights section "Garden".
This is the sprinkler hose that I bought, along with this watering timer. Then I used zip ties and 2" binder clips to attach it all to the deck! Obviously it's not the fanciest set up, but it has been getting the job done and now I don't need to worry about who's going to water the garden while we are sporadically away throughout the summer.
Can we just take a moment to admire this buttercrunch lettuce... SWOON
