- Homemade crust makes all the difference. Going the extra mile and making a homemade pizza crust makes this pizza taste like it came straight from a restaurant.
- The honey butter drizzle is everything. A light honey butter drizzle adds the most delicious, unique finishing touch. We use it on a ton of our pizza recipes, and if you've never tried it, you're seriously missing out!

Ingredients You'll Need

- Pizza Crust: Making pizza crust from scratch is always my go-to, but you can also usually buy pre-made pizza dough from your local bakery or grocery store!
- Honey Butter: Honey butter is almost essential! It adds such a deliciously sweet flavor to the pizza.
- Cheeses: You can use any cheese that melts well for this pizza. Some other options would be Monterey Jack, Havarti, or provolone. Just be sure to shred your own, the pre-shredded stuff is full of anti-caking agents that turn the texture grainy when melted.
- Pickles: I like to use garlic dill pickles for this pizza. Any dill pickle or dill cornichons will work, but avoid using sweet pickles, or it will taste like you covered your pizza in relish!

How To Make Dill Pickle Pizza
Save This Recipe! 💌

Step 1
Prepare a large pizza pan by lightly oiling the surface and sprinkling it with cornmeal, if desired. Stretch or press the dough into a 14-inch circle.

Step 2
Mix the garlic butter ingredients and brush the mixture evenly over the pizza dough.

Step 3
Sprinkle on the Parmesan cheese, half of the mozzarella and cheddar, and half of the pickle slices.

Step 4
On top of the first layer, add the remaining cheese, bacon, pickles, green onions, and dill.

Step 5
Bake until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbling.

Step 6
Drizzle the warm honey butter over the pizza, allow it to rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve.
Tips For The Best Pizza
- Dry the pickles. Before adding the pickles, gently dry the pickle slices with paper towel to remove excess moisture that could make the pizza soggy.
- Cook the bacon until crispy. Always cook the bacon before adding it to the pizza. Crispy bacon holds its texture during baking and adds a much better flavor.
- Bake pizza on a stone. A preheated pizza stone helps create a crispier crust, similar to a pizzeria oven.
Storage & Reheating
Store leftover pizza in an airtight container or wrapped tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to 3 days. For the best texture, reheat slices in a 375°F oven for 5 minutes or in a skillet over medium-low heat until warmed through. The microwave works in a pinch, but the crust will be much softer.

- ½ teaspoon Cooking Oil optional
- 1 teaspoon Cornmeal optional
- 1 (14") Pizza Crust
Garlic Butter Base
- 3 Tablespoons Butter melted
- 2 cloves Garlic minced
- 1 teaspoon Parsley
- ½ teaspoon Onion Powder
Pizza Toppings
- ½ cup Parmesan Cheese shredded
- 2 cups Mozzarella Cheese shredded and divided
- 1 cup Sharp Cheddar shredded and divided
- 4 medium Dill Pickles sliced and divided
- 5 pieces Bacon cooked and crumbled
- 2 Green Onions diced
- ½ teaspoon Dried Dill
- 2 Tablespoons Honey Butter melted (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 475℉. Lightly grease a 14-inch pizza pan and sprinkle it with cornmeal, if using. Press or stretch the pizza dough into a 14-inch circle, covering the bottom of the pan.
- In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic, onion powder, and parsley. Brush the mixture evenly over the entire surface of the dough, leaving a small border around the edge of the crust.
- Sprinkle the parmesan cheese evenly over the garlic butter base. Top with half of the mozzarella, half of the cheddar cheese, and half of the pickle slices. Add the remaining mozzarella and cheddar cheese, followed by the crispy bacon, remaining pickle slices, green onions, and dill. Bake for 15-16 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted, bubbly, and beginning to brown in spots.
- While the pizza is baking, prepare the honey butter, if using. Remove the pizza from the oven and carefully transfer it from the pan to a cutting board. Melt 2 tablespoons of honey butter and drizzle it over the hot pizza. Let the pizza rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes
- Pizza Crust: A homemade pizza crust or a store-bought crust will both work.
- Honey Butter: The honey butter drizzle is optional, but highly recommended.

- Pickles: Any kind of dill pickle or cornichon can be used. Avoid sweet or butter pickles, as they will cause an overly sweet pizza. Dry the pickles before adding them to the pizza to remove moisture and avoid soggy pizza.
- Bacon: Precook and crumble the bacon before adding it to the pizza. Never use raw bacon on a pizza.
- Serve pizza with ranch dressing, spicy mayo, or sriracha aioli for the perfect dipping sauce.
- Make it spicy by adding chili pepper flakes, banana peppers or hot sauce.
- Store leftover pizza in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
